Lot 1603 Remington Model 1901 7mm NVSN

Made under a South American contract with "REMINGTON ARMS CO. / ILION.N.Y. U.S.A. / PAT'D OCTR. 22ND, 1901." marked on the upper tang and "CAL. 7 M.M." on top of the barrel in front of the handguard. The barrel bands are marked "U", the rear sight is graduated to 2,100 yards. The blue finish has faded turning a gray/blue patina, some areas of surface rust, most markings are crisp/clear (except for the patent date on the tang), full forearm, partial handguard, bayonet lug, smooth curved trigger, checkered hammer spur, checkered breech block, straight grip stock with a smooth steel buttplate, and sling swivels. Bore is dark with ok rifling, some scattered pitting, action is smooth/tight. The wood is ok with scattered scratches/dings, a chip in the bottom of the buttstock, and there is some artwork done to the stock. Manufactured 1901-1909.
